Made a booking well ahead of time for a Sunday lunch, when we arrived there at 1.30 all the roast lunches had gone, not impressed, so we had to make do with a run of the mill meal.If we had arrived at say, 3.30 this wouldn't have been so bad but 1.30 !

We visited with a friend and arrived at lunch opening time last week. . We incorrectly thought that the food would be fresh goods used and freshly cooked. How wrong we were...........the jacket potatoes were stale and tasted horrible and to make things worse was that they were at best slightly warm. The pie I had was also only very slightly warm.Haing raised the matter with staff, the plates were taken away and returned with fresher warm potatoes. For the inconvenience we were offered two more cups of coffee! The sweets were just as bad, with cold chocolate fudge cake and so cold the ice-cream didn't even show any signs of melting! My apple pie also was only just off cold. No offer of anything further for the inconvenience was forthcoming, so we paid the bill and left thoroughly disappointed. We made a point of visiting the Roundstone this time having not been there for some considerable time mainly because of poor quality on a previous visit when we had a family birthday breakfast there. So needless to say, we will not be returning there for dining at any time soon!

Nice cosy pub, exactly what you would expect of a Whitbread. Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Heating available outside upon request which is nice.

I know this place is cheap but the portions are so small it makes it feel expensive. Food took ages and had several errors. If your going for a burger you'd be better off with a big mac

We had 11 people for our first time out for Christmas dinner. Not one of us had a bad thing to say about the place the food was amazing with perfect portion sizes and the staff were great and we all had a really nice time. Thank you to all the staff that worked Christmas day we really enjoyed our selfs.
